Loving the Unloveable

Hey! I recently read a quote on Pinterest  (my weakness) & it really struck a chord with me. It said,

Now, this is not a hate on other Christians however, I think as followers of Christ, we need to do a better job at loving others. Remember, GOD IS LOVE. If we aren’t loving towards EVERYBODY, then we aren’t showing the world the character of Christ which is what the title “Christian” claims with the meaning, “little Christ.” Contrary to common belief, love is an action. You don’t have to agree with someone or believe the same things to love someone & show them the love of God. By hating people, bashing them, and being hurtful, we are not glorifying the Lord or helping the world see Jesus. In fact, it is doing to opposite. I challenge you as you read this to (although it might be hard) love people. Serve people with the mindset of Jesus Christ. When you do this, you will be amazed at what starts to happen in your life. Here is some scripture to reflect upon that has helped me and my journey with loving others. 💜
Ephesians‬ ‭5:2 “and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Ephesians‬ ‭4:2‬ ‭ “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:8‬ “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
